Lack of sleep leads to forgetfulness, and this can\nnegatively affect all areas of your life, especially work and school. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Wait, I Missed My Turn: You\u2019re Unable to React Quickly<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you\u2019re normally someone who is known for your \u201cdad or\nmom-like reflexes,\u201d meaning you can catch a rolling sippy cup or falling child\nwith no problem, sleep deprivation will significantly hinder that ability. Your\nattention span and ability to think and act fast will slow down, making it a\nstrong possibility that you will forget to break before running into the car in\nfront of you in the drop-off line at school.&nbsp;\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Who Am I: Your Brain Declines<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The most devastating aspect of interrupted sleep is the\nlong-term effects it can have on your brain. Harmful proteins are removed while\nyou sleep. These are called amyloid proteins, and they\u2019ve been linked to\nneurological diseases such as Alzheimer\u2019s. When you\u2019re unable to get the rest\nyou need, these proteins begin to build up, leaving you with a higher chance of\ndeveloping this devastating condition later in life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are experiencing any of the above-mentioned signs,\nyou should talk to your sleep dentist about undergoing a sleep study.
