For example, it may be\nnecessary for you to have a home sleep test before they will agree to pay for\nan in-lab sleep test, which is often more costly. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As long as your physician or dentist prescribes a sleep\nstudy, your insurance company will pay for it; however, you will responsible\nfor any co-pays or deductible. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Can You Expect Your Insurance to Cover Treatment?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Once you\u2019ve made it past the first hurdle of having your\ninsurance pay for your sleep study, you\u2019ll need to find out whether treatment\nis covered. Many dentists offer oral appliance therapy because of its great\nsuccess and more comfortable method of treatment; however, many insurance\ncompanies will only pay for a CPAP or bi-level device. This can be problematic\nif this type of treatment is uncomfortable or poses difficulties in your\nability to maneuver the device. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fortunately, some sleep dentists offer treatment financing\nthrough companies such as CareCredit. As a third-party financier, CareCredit\nmakes it possible for patients to receive low-to-no interest payments plans, so\ntreatment is not only possible but also affordable. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you believe you might have sleep apnea but are unsure how\nyou\u2019ll pay for your treatment, talk to your dentist or physician about what you\ncan do.
